This handout will help busy parents share and celebrate the story of Easter with your children.

It discusses the meaning of Easter and how to share the story in an age-appropriate way. It also will guide you in a reflection of what traditions you can choose that are most in line with the day's meaning.

A fun twist adds an extra faith component to a traditional egg hunt.

Children will find a Bible verse in each egg, providing clues to where the next egg can be found.

This simple echo story teaches the Easter story through the emotions that were felt that day.

In an echo story the leader says a line and places special emphasis on the last phrase of each sentence, the capitalized word in the script. A gesture, such as raising a palm at the point where repetition is to begin, gives participants a clue to listen carefully for the words they are to repeat. Then the leader and the participants echo or recite these words together.
